Rita served as CEO of NASSCOM Foundation, where the term impact sourcing was coined, and later brought her expertise to Everest Group as a principal analyst. Now she's building GrandResolve, a social enterprise focused on strengthening the foundation of digital services through inclusive talent strategies. Tammy and Rita dive into the business case for impact sourcing, inclusive talent strategies and worker wellbeing.

• Doing good can also make business sense. Impact workers may require more upskilling upfront, but the data from Everest Group shows they ultimately outperform their peers. Higher retention, stronger commitment to the brand and better quality over time all show up in the numbers.
• Impact sourcing in the U.S. Rita shares the story of Televerde, a company that operates a call center inside a women's prison in Arizona. Women who go through the program build concrete skills and a renewed sense of self-worth. Since the program began tracking recidivism, the number has stayed at zero.
• Creating better workplaces for everyone. Designing intentionally for people who have traditionally been excluded often improves the experience more broadly. Accessibility features such as ramps ultimately benefit many others, like parents with strollers or someone navigating life with an injury.
