Creating a simple, seamless mobile app and kiosk experience for busy travelers
In parallel with developing Viva Aerobus’ website, Launch was asked to create a fun, user-friendly mobile application that empowers customers to book and manage their trips. In addition to digital strategy, design, and development, we assisted with the design and integration of new physical kiosks to help busy travelers at the airport.

Making travel more “ahhhh”
Travel is innately stressful, and Viva Aerobus wanted to ease the journey for their customers by creating a pleasant, easy-to-use mobile app. Conducting user research, interviews, and analysis, we thought critically about how to deliver the best possible experience for users, with a focus on micro-moments that matter most to travelers.
Key info at the ready
Customers can easily check-in, view flight info, and take direct shortcuts to the important sections of the app right from their home screens.
Minimizing turbulence
Intuitive flows, a modular design system and micro-animations create a joyful user experience for on-the-go travelers. Offline boarding passes and rich profile management make it easy to keep what you need close at hand, even when conditions aren’t ideal.
An optimal, future-proof experience
With bespoke applications delivered for both Android and iOS, Viva Aerobus is positioned to more easily add new features and extensions to delight customers. Launch by NTT DATA developed and deployed an enhanced browsing experience for Viva Aerobus’ new website. Now all their platforms are future proof, consistent, and a pleasure to use.
Easy travel days ahead
Following work on Viva Aerobus’ website and mobile application, we helped extend the digital experience to a new channel: physical kiosks at the airport. Launch designed the user interface, developed a flexible, scalable design system, and ensured seamless integration with physical touchpoints such as tag printers and baggage scales.
These new kiosks allow customers to quickly and efficiently check-in for a flight, take care of any checked bags, and breathe a sigh of relief knowing their boarding pass and gate information are close at hand. Launch partnered closely with Viva Aerobus on this project to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders. In the end, we delivered a delightful end-to-end experience that provides huge value to both customers and the business.
