Where technology, business and people intersect: A conversation with Dr. Bratin Saha

This week on Catalyst, Tammy is joined by Dr. Bratin Saha, CEO of NTT DATA AIVista. For over two decades, Bratin has been actively building the AI revolution that we’re in the middle of. He’s worked at some of the most influential companies in tech, including Intel, NVIDIA and AWS. Today, he helps NTT operating companies accelerate the launch and scaling of AI native businesses.
Tammy and Bratin discuss being in the right place at the right time, the potential for AI to democratize creativity and why this wave feels more personal than earlier ones.
Highlights from the episode include:
- This technology wave is different. AI touches the thing that has always defined us as humans: our ability to think and create. This change is so big and fundamental that it requires a different kind of response. To meet the moment, leaders must prioritize change management and bring people with them through uncertainty.
- Inventors bridge technology, business and people. Bratin argues that to make an impact, you need to understand and intersect all three. Deep technical knowledge helps you see what’s possible. Business understanding keeps the focus on customer value. Organizational insight completes the trifecta because every major innovation changes how people work and how teams operate.
- AI will unlock “pervasive disruption.” We’re living in a world where you can go from English to software, from an idea to an app or from describing a painting to creating art, in a matter of seconds. Suddenly, we’re all creatives, designers, engineers and artists. Democratizing creativity is awesome. Whether this flood of AI-generated everything will be a net positive remains to be seen.
